Julie Chen Moonves, who was one of the initial hosts and moderators for The Talk (a Daytime Emmy Award award-winning talk show) She returned on to host The Talk on August 5th for its 22nd edition. However, her true passion came when she added writing to her duties and won an Emmy for this. Also, she won an Emmy award for her outstanding host of a talk show. The show was hosted by her co-hosts CBS News weekday morning show The Early Show between 2002 between 2002 and 2010. Prior to that she was anchor of the news on The Early Show and anchor of CBS Morning News, the CBS Television Network's morning-to-day, half-hour broadcast.Chen Moonves was a reporter on a variety of major news stories on The Early Show, including the war of 2003 in Iraq. Chen Moonves was tasked with reporting from Cairo after 9/11. She went down and talked to the father of the hijackers in an eye-opening and captivating interview. Chen Moonves has interviewed newsmakers including former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, the Queen Rania of Jordan and former Defense Secretary William Cohen, and celebrities like Denzel Washington, Angelina Jolie, Kanye West, Taylor Swift, Viola Davis, Tom Hanks, Mary J. Chen Moonves has also worked with the network's New York City station WCBS as a reporter, anchor as well as a anchor (1997-1999). Before joining CBS News at the beginning of 1995 Chen Moonves had been a reporter at WDTN TV Dayton. Previous jobs included working as a reporter for ABC NewsOne, the network's affiliated news service (1992-1995) and a desk-assistant within ABC News' Los Angeles Bureau (1990-1991), all while completing her final year of college in the University of Southern California. Chen Moonves and Ted Koppel worked together in Anatomy of a Riot - a primetime television special which won the Columbia du-Pont award - which focused on how the Los Angeles riots of 1992.
